New Course for 2019

Half Term Camera Course - Loving the Camera

One Day Course - Date      20th February 2019      9.30am - 4.30pm

£45pp  (Limited to 8 People) - Payable in full at the time of booking

Designed for 14-18 Year Olds with a Keen interest in Photography

Ideally suited to digital SLR or equivalent camera users

Time Lock Photography will deliver a light hearted informal minimal jargon photography course. By the end of the day, you will understand and be confident with all the functions on your camera, when to use them and how to use them.

We believe the way to get to know your camera properly is to use it, therefore the course is designed with a high amount of practical time and minimal theory time.  With the studio being situated in rural farmland, with fields and cattle surrounding us we have great opportunities to get out and use the cameras as you do most of the time as well as some time in the studio using the studio flashes and set up. If the weather is against us we will use the studio for the duration.

Over the day we/you will gradually shift from the automatic functions of the camera to the manual function and give you as much confidence to shoot in manual mode as you do in automatic.

The Day will Cover - Equipment, Camera Functions, and how to get the boat out of your camera, with a few simple assignments during the day for you to practice the skills we have discussed.  We will cover some basic image manipulation and editing in Lightroom to make good photos even better.

We will demonstrate some simple long exposure photographs, which will promise to be fun.

The course promises to be relaxed and perfect for all levels of photography, there will be plenty of time for questions and therefore no one will ever feel out of their depth or left behind. It is aimed at aged 14-18Yrs.

The minimum requirement is you own or have access to a DSLR with cards and charged batteries.  Any additional equipment is optional, we have a few tripods for use if needed.

What you will take away is broader knowledge of photography and some images to either add to an existing portfolio or perhaps be the start of your portfolio.

After the course we are still available by phone or email if you have any further questions.

We are DBS Checked and Accredited
